About the university

At University of South Wales, we are proud of our growing reputation as a provider of quality higher education, best illustrated by an excellent Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) Institutional Review in November 2008 and impressive outcomes from the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.

As part of our commitment to excellence, we are undergoing a £130 million capital programme, including ATRiuM – our landmark campus at the heart of Cardiff city centre, new state-of-the-art science laboratories at Glyntaff and a new iconic Students’ Union building at Treforest. Renowned for its friendly community and supportive atmosphere, Glamorgan continues to grow and attracts more than 21,000 students to its campuses in South Wales and delivery.

Campus Services

Campus Services is among one of the University of Glamorgan’s largest support departments consisting of 5 divisions and employing over 200 full and part time staff.

The divisions are:
– Catering & Hospitality Services
– Centre for Sport, Health& Exercise
– Childcare Services
– Glamorgan Conference Services

In addition to this, Campus Services leads the First Experience Project with cross departmental involvement, which ensures the smooth transistion of 1st year students into University life We also work closely with the local community groups to help help minimize the impact of students living in and around Pontypridd Treforest and Cardiff.

If you are a student, member of staff or visitor you are almost certainly at sometime going to be using at least one of our services. Our aim is to offer a friendly, professional service with a focus on enhancing your overall experience whilst whilst at the University.

As a customer facing department we welcome feedback and always strive to improve our services, efficiency and facilities. In the past 5 years we have invested over £30m to improve our facilities and services.

We recognize our success is through the highly motivated friendly teams we have in each division and we will continue to invest in them through on-going training and development.
